I’m Dr. Lisa A. Taylor, a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and peace.
My work focuses on supporting adults facing anxiety, perfectionism, chronic health issues, major life transitions, grief, and caregiver stress. I understand how overwhelming it can feel when life seems out of balance, and you don’t have to go through it alone.
If you’re feeling anxious, struggling to keep up with life’s demands, or weighed down by loss, I want you to know this: your feelings are valid, and you deserve support.
Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck, exhausted, or invisible, like they’re holding everything together on the outside while they are struggling daily on the inside. Therapy offers a space to untangle those feelings, find clarity, and build the tools to move forward in an authentic and sustainable way.
Personalized, Evidence-Based Therapy Tailored to Your Needs
Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all. I believe in a collaborative process, tailoring each session to your unique needs, goals, and values. Drawing from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practices, we'll work together to build practical coping skills, deepen self-awareness, and create meaningful change.
My role is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without judgment. Whether you're struggling with perfectionism, navigating health concerns, or feeling weighed down by life, therapy can help you move forward with renewed strength and purpose.
A Lifelong Passion for Helping Others Find Relief
My path to becoming a psychologist began with a deep curiosity about people and the stories they carry. I’ve always been someone others turned to, not just for advice, but for understanding. I saw how much people hold inside while life moves around them, often without a clear path forward.
As I grew older, I witnessed how anxiety, loss, caregiving stress, and life transitions could leave people feeling stuck and isolated. I knew I wanted to do more than just listen. I wanted to help.
That desire led me to the field of psychology, where years of education, training, and clinical experience deepened my passion for supporting others. Therapy, I’ve learned, isn’t just about managing struggles. It’s about rediscovering resilience, finding clarity, and creating a meaningful and balanced life.
Today, I’m here to offer that same support. If my story resonates with you, I’d love to hear yours. Together, we can work toward the clarity and resilience you deserve.
Compassionate Guidance Rooted in Experience
With advanced training and licensure in evidence-based mental health care, I provide expert support tailored to your needs. My years of education, clinical experience, and specialized training ensure you receive effective, compassionate care.
Through years of experience, I’ve helped individuals manage anxiety, cope with loss, navigate health challenges, enhance performance, and heal from trauma. This insight allows me to quickly identify patterns, provide practical tools, and offer personalized guidance to support your well-being.
I am committed to advancing psychology through speaking at national conferences, contributing to research, mentoring future professionals, and creating resources for therapists. By sharing knowledge, I help strengthen the field and improve the quality of care for everyone.
I’ve spent over a decade working in both mental health and medical settings, including several years within the VA healthcare system.
After earning my M.S. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, I completed a doctoral internship at the Cleveland VA Medical Center and a postdoctoral fellowship at the VA Bedford Healthcare System. These experiences not only refined my clinical skills, but also deepened my commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with clients facing a wide range of challenges. My approach is always tailored to the individual, with the goal of helping each person regain a sense of balance, clarity, and resilience. I truly love what I do, and am continually inspired by the courage my clients show as they work toward meaningful change.
I am proud to serve on the board of Junie's Place, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals navigating grief and loss. Throughout my career, I’ve actively contributed to numerous boards, committees, and development initiatives aimed at improving community health and advancing the field of psychology. This work reflects my dedication to not only providing expert care but also fostering meaningful change beyond the therapy room.
Diversity and inclusion are core values in my practice. I have completed Safe Zone training, an LGBTQ+ awareness and allyship program, and firmly believe that embracing diverse perspectives enriches both our understanding and the quality of care we provide. At Sudbury Psychology Services, everyone is welcome, respected, and supported.
You’re Not Broken
I aim to provide a partnership rooted in trust and respect. My approach blends warmth, expertise, and a commitment to individualized care. Here’s what I believe:
No one should have to carry their struggles alone. Your feelings matter.
You’re not broken. Therapy is about understanding yourself, not changing who you are.
My job is to provide a safe space while also gently challenging you to grow in ways that feel right for you.
Whether you’re grieving, stressed, or overwhelmed, you need care from others and from yourself.
I bring knowledge and expertise, but I also bring warmth, humor, and authenticity.
Your New Tomorrow Begins Today
Maybe you’ve been trying to push through on your own. Maybe you keep telling yourself you’ll handle it later, that other people have it worse, that you just need to be "stronger." I want you to know that seeking support isn’t weakness, it’s one of the bravest things you can do.
You don’t have to keep carrying everything alone. With my blend of expertise and genuine care, I’m here to help you find relief, feel understood, and start moving forward in a way that actually feels good.
